The Leaf Plus is unlike any other amplified HDTV antenna available! It's like the Leaf on steroids! The Leaf Plus features a high gain, low noise state-of-the-art pHEMT amplifier to provide additional gain to increase signal range and improve the quality and reliability of Over-The-Air HDTV signals. The Leaf Plus Amplified HDTV Antenna improves upon the top-selling Mohu Leaf antenna. The Leaf Plus provides you with an additional range for remarkable reception. For channels that experience occasional dropouts or pixilation, the additional gain of the Leaf Plus will provide a far more reliable signal than other antennas. Combine the Leaf Plus with a streaming device like a Roku box, 'smart' HDTV or gaming system and never have to pay a cable or dish bill again! The Leaf Plus gives you a USB power injector at the end of the antenna cable to provide power to the amplifier in the antenna housing. This power injector uses a mini-USB connector. You can power the amplifier using the supplied power cube and USB cable or plug the USB cable into a USB port on your TV, if it has one. The advantage of doing this is that the amplifier will only be powered when the TV is turned on, eliminating parasitic power consumption when the amplifier isn't needed. Better design, better technology... The amplifier in the Leaf Plus provides 10-15 dB of gain across all TV channels and has the lowest noise figure possible. By placing the amplifier directly at the antenna we minimize noise and signal loss due to cable losses and maximize efficiency by matching the amplifier to the antenna. The patent pending Leaf indoor television antenna is a paper thin antenna that connects to your TV and mounts on the wall, behind a picture, or just about anywhere to enable you to receive free over-the-air broadcasts. Because the majority of television antennas on the market today are unsightly and tend to be an "eye-sore", design aesthetics were a primary driver in the design of the Leaf antenna. The antenna is black on one side and white on the other providing a variety of installation options. A surprising amount of study and engineering work went into the design of the Leaf TV antenna. It wasn't until one of our engineers decided to convert from cable television to over-the-air broadcasting that we realized that there were no high performance antennas on the market. This motivated the patent pending design of the new paper-thin antenna. The Leaf antenna was designed by experienced antenna engineers who have been designing antennas for the US military for years. Cost was also a primary driving factor in the design of the Leaf indoor antenna. After researching current antennas on the market, it became clear that the leading brands were significantly over priced. This drove us to develop a patent pending process that allowed us to develop a high performance antenna with minimal manufacturing cost. This allowed us to keep the price of the antenna to a minimum and pass these savings on to the consumer.
